Bits and Pieces: Unique Wedding
Today's card is a bit unusual, I have to admit. I was playing around with some bits and pieces that were on my desk, and liked the idea of a monochromatic look of grays, silver and white with a slightest touch of pink. None of the grays match perfectly, but they still flow well together.
Once the card was completed, it reminded me of the engagement announcements my friend Ashley sent out recently. It featured a black and white photo of a vintage bear and doll sitting together in wedding gear, and I liked the idea of using favorite childhood toys/memories for a wedding card.

Adventure Awaits!
I've had a couple of really busy weeks, as I've been preparing for a rather big life change lately. It's a positive one, but it still meant that my days have been filled with more work, more errands and more sleep. I know I will need a little extra time to get used to a new routine, but I'm excited about what's on the horizon.
Today's card felt perfect for the new life adventure I'm embarking on. I used a stamp from Birdie Brown and some bits and pieces from my stash for a clean and simple encouragement card.

ME- Worthwhile Adventure
Today felt like another adventurous day - and somehow, I wanted to capture that feeling of time just flying by while you're having fun. I found the perfect paper in my stash, and the adorable raccoon from Mama Elephant was exactly what I wanted to add to this simple card.

WF - Marvelous Monkey
Playing with the CAS style again, using the adorable Waffle Flower monkey and some striped patterned paper. I decided to make use of my phrase stickers for the sentiment - I think it matches up the fancy monkey pretty great.

BB- Here for You
In contrast to the cards I shared over the past couple of days, I went back to the simpler style again with another Birdie Brown stamp. I especially liked the patterned paper - it reminds me of a picnic tablecloth (which goes really well with the country theme).

BB- Best of Luck
For today's card, I pulled out a Birdie Brown set I've had for a while and tried my hand again at the more-detail/cluttered style I seem to enjoy lately. I paired the image with a cute patterned paper and some ephemera bits that were floating around my desk. I like how it turned out.

RC- Coffee Thanks
Reverse Confetti - Coffee And You
Today's card is in a style that's a bit different from what I usually aim for -- it's a little more busy, but I do like how it turned out. It also features a white elephant. I think he's different and fits in perfectly with the different style I tried with the patterns.

Hello Handsome
Waffle Flower - Willy, Simon Says Stamp - Small Hello die
Today's card features a super affordable stamp set from Waffle Flower, and I decided to pair him with a craft cardstock and a sprinkle dot patterned paper. There was a mischievous glimmer in Willy's eye and I can just imagine him spilling confetti and sprinkles into the air.
I also used an interesting die set that came in an embellishment kit. It cuts out a rectangle with jagged edges - a bit like what you might get when you tear washi tape. I've had it in my stash for ages, but hadn't used it. I think I'll have to play around with it some more.

Birthday Song
I was still on a masculine-but-cute kick from yesterday, so I decided to rummage through my bits and pieces to make another card. This time, I chose a birthday card and I added some of the adorable singing band members from Mama Elephant.
I paired the couple with a patterned paper that had different colored pluses. I thought it looked a bit like sparkling stage lights.

Coffee and Elephants
Reverse Confetti - Coffee And You
Today, I'm sharing another couple of cards and they feature the adorable Coffee and You stamp set from Reverse Confetti. This super cute stamp is coffee themed and features an elephant and mice that are just plain adorable.
For the first card, I went in a more masculine direction - working with blue tones. The patterned paper seemed like the perfect choice, as it features coffee pots but the colors are muted and the style is more whimsical than cute. The sentiment I chose was a non-mushy love one.
For the second card, I went for a more classic direction. I used lighter colors on the elephant, and I chose a classic cream and kraft striped paper as my background. I added a bit of extra color with the bright blue cup and some enamel dots.

Thanks, kitten.
My Favorite Things - Cat-itude (retired), Simon Says Stamp - Thanks die
I'm feeling a bit ambivalent about this card. There are parts of it that I love (such as the palette) and parts of it I don't (such as the layout). But I'm sharing it anyway and maybe it will inspire someone else out there.

Miss You kitty
The Ton - Love and a Cat
Today's card is a quick and simple little card featuring a kitty from The Ton. This card actually started with that patterned paper - which features all the months of the year. I thought about what kind of card I could make with that, and "miss you" was at the top of the list. The kitten hiding its face in its paws seemed particularly appropriate.

Llama Hello
My Favorite Things - Llama Love stamp
Llamas are the "it" thing this year. We've seen pineapples and flamingos, cacti and succulents, mermaids and unicorns - and now we have llamas. I thought I'd pair the llama in today's card with a cactus patterned paper and a color palette I don't usually use - yellow and green.
I'm not entirely convinced that it turned out great, but I'm still sharing in case it inspires someone else out there.

Best Chick Ever!
Simon Says Stamp - Some Bunny stamp set
Today's card features another way to use the cute chick from Simon's Some Bunny set- to make an adorable nerdy chick. With the fun glasses and a bit of careful positioning, you can make a stunner of a chickie for that special girl that needs a little extra encouragement today.

Happy Easter!
Simon Says Stamp - Some Bunny
One of the awesome things about the Some Bunny stamp set is that it includes a pair of glasses. They look great as just plain glasses (to make your bunny and chickie nerdy), but I absolutely loved them as sunglasses.
And then I found the "I'll have my peeps call your peeps" sticker from Tim Holtz in my stash, and I just had to use it. It made me giggle and made me think about the CEO Bunny and CFO Chick getting together for an important business meeting.
Happy Easter to those who celebrate it, and happy Sunday to those who don't.
