Easter Bunnies

Simon Says Stamp - Some Bunny stamp set

Today, I have two cards to share featuring the adorable Some Bunny stamp set from Simon Says Stamp. I got this stamp as a part of a kit a little while back, but I didn't use it much. Since Easter is so close, it seemed like the perfect time to dig it out and create a few fun cards.

The first card is bright and features both the bunny and the Easter eggs.

For the second card, I went in a bit more softer direction and used pastel colors, along with scallops and a cloud border die. The patterned paper is from Doodlebug and i has a lovely tone-on-tone look that's subtle, but still says "Easter".

Soft Baby

For today's card, I decided to work with softer and more subtle tones that are fitting a baby card. It's a bit more elaborate than what I usually do, but I like how it turned out.

Hello Bear

Pinkfresh Studio - Happy Days stamp

Today's card is a quick creation using a stamp set from Pinkfresh Studio. I fell in love with the designer's (Tokomo) style and just had to grab this set along with a couple of others last year... I colored the image with Copics and added a layered vellum panel for extra interest.

Fishy Birthday

Avery Elle - That Bites

One of the fun things I've been trying to do recently is match up some of the bits and pieces I have on my crafty desk and turn them into some interesting CAS cards. It's been a great practice with layouts, and I think it really appeals to that minimalist layered style I adore.

For this card, I used Avery Elle's That Bites stamp set. The goofy fish in that set never fail to make me laugh and I'm definitely planning on using it again. I paired the fish with a happy birthday sentiment and some fun patterned paper.

Whoa!

My Favorite Things - Ski-sons Greetings stamp
My Favorite Things - Mini Cloud Edges stencil

What, two posts in one day?! Well, I had to make up for those couple of days I missed earlier in the week!

For this card, I used the My Favorite Things Ski-sons Greetings stamp set - mainly because I just love that skiing bear. I put him up against a stenciled sky background, and thought it looked like he flew so high while ski-jumping that he went straight above the clouds. Of course, the appropriate sentiment for that can only be "Whoa!".

I think I will keep this as a congratulations card - maybe congratulating someone on their amazing achievement such a job promotion or a graduation.

Birthday Bus!

Avery Elle - Birthday Bus stamp

I'm still on a masculine birthday card kick, so I thought I'd make another masculine birthday card. Even when making guy cards, I can't seem to stray too far away from kinda cute - like with the adorable Birthday Bus stamp set from Avery Elle. Hopefully, using guy colors like olive green and blues takes away a bot of that cuteness and makes it a guy card.

I think I'll try to share a few more "guy" creations, and hopefully build up my stash of manly cards.

Llama Birthday

My Favorite Things - Llama Love stamp

You may have noted a lack of posts over the last couple of days... Unfortunately, I had a rather bad migraine hit and it kept me bed-bound while it cleared itself up. So, this weekend, I plan to make up for it and create a few extra cards.

For today's creation, I used the super fun Llama Love stamp set from My Favorite Things. I just loved how quirky and fun the llamas looked and the fact it had punny sentiments meant I absolutely had to own it (puns are my jam!). I paired my little llama scene with a quirky chevron paper and set it against a craft card base. I think it will make a fun guy birthday card.

Bits and Pieces: Paper Love

I have a lot of incredible patterned paper in my stash. Some of it I've had for a few years now, and yet seeing it again still makes me smile. But when the pattern is just too pretty to cover up, I struggle to use it. I want to show-case it - have it take center stage, but no layout I can think of works. Everything seems too complex or (in contrast) feels like I'm making no effort at all. I don't want to have the pretty paper end up on a card I hate.

Today's card is an experiment. I cut the paper, adhered to the base and then added two stickers and a scattering of confetti sequins. It took a total of a minute to do, and that was all. I don't know that it qualifies as an amazing card. But I do love it and I plan to send it to someone.

Howdy!

Mama Elephant - Rowdy Raccoons, My Favorite Things - Blueprint 14 die

One of my favorite die elements is the Blueprints series of dies from My Favorite Things. I don't have all of them, but I do have quite a collection and I find myself reaching for bits and pieces from my favorite sets often. For today's card, I decided to use a few elements that I haven't used often and make a fun layered card.

I paired the background with the absolutely adorable raccoon from Rowdy Raccoons. I fell in love with this set and just had to have it. I've had a lot of fun coloring and using the adorable raccoon.

Sailor Gold

My Favorite Things - (PI) Sailor Girl (retired)

Today's card features a color combination I felt very drawn to: Light Blue, Yellow, Grey and Turquoise. I came across this palette when I first started making cards, and the paper pad that had it was the very first paper pad I ever used up completely.

I wanted to pay homage to that lovely palette and I think this card turned out pretty fun. I added some ribbon from my stash, as well as die-cut the different panels to create some texture.

Love You

C.C. Designs -Roberto's Rascals: Cupid

Today's card uses things I found laying on my ever-so-messy crafty table. They're bits and pieces from other cards I've made and stamps I've colored, but I think it turned out pretty fun.
