I needed just one more birthday card this week, so a cute sheep to the rescue! I used a palette of browns, blues and yellows. I also used a patterned paper at an angle - it gave an interesting layout that I really ought to play with some more in the future.

Rawr Dino
I had to play with the adorable dino just one more time - especially since I did not get a chance to use the awesome sentiment from this set on my last card. I made use of a tag here - something I should try a little more often.

One on a Chameleon
Another sweet Lawn Fawn critter - this time a chameleon. I had a ton of ideas for this tiny stamp set, but I went with something pretty simple this time around. I think it turned out pretty fun and I enjoyed using a more lime-green than I usually gravitate toward in my green tones.

Love Sheep
I'm still working my way through the lovely Birdie Brown sheep set, and I thought I'd switch gears a little and make a love-inspired card. The sheep with the cute heart just made me think it would make for a fun Valentine.
I know we're past Valentine's day already, but the world could always use a little more love...

Dino Cookie
When I was young, I thought it would be incredibly fun to have an unusual pet - such as a pocket dinosaur. A living, breathing dinosaur - only so tiny it would fit in my pocket. I remembered this recently and thought I would illustrate it on a card.
So, here is my pocket dinosaur stealing a cookie ('cause that's what pocket dinosaurs do).

Sheep Thanks
One more quick share with Birdie Brown sheep. Aside from birthday cards, I think thank you cards are one of the card types I always need more of. I paired the fun little scene I created with a chunky scripty thanks. I think they go together great.

Time to Seal-abrate
I have a couple of birthdays coming up at the end of the month, so I've been playing with birthday card designs. Today's card features Avery Elle's Seal-Abrate stamp set. This set features a punny sentiment which I've stamped on the inside of the card. I think it's a pretty fun design and makes for a playful birthday card.

Slumber Thanks
Day two of a Birdie Brown marathon, and I thought I'd go in a different direction with today's card. I went for a night scene with a fun starry sky and a slumber sheep jumping over a fence. I think it turned out pretty cute and pushed me to work with a palette I might not have thought of at first.

Thinking of Ewe
If you've read my blog for a while, you know I absolutely love Birdie Brown's whimsical art. I have quite a few of the sets and (surprisingly!) a lot of them have been sitting in my stash, uninked. So, I've decided to try and make good use of one Birdie Brown stamp set every month and make a few cute cards.
For today's card, I'm using the Ewe Are The Best stamp set. It features the most adorable fluffy sheep and some background elements. I kept my card very simple and clean, and finished with a few sparkly sequins.

Magical Wish
After an unintended break, I'm back to sharing a few card creations. The last couple of weeks have been a challenge - between work, health and general tiredness, I haven't had much time to get creative. And while I'm a big supporter of showing up to create regardless of whether I'm inspired or not, I felt on the brink of a creative burnout of sorts.
I think I've been pushing myself really hard to make dozens of ideas into reality, and that just does not work out well. So, I took a step back, gave myself a break and I plan to take things a little more slowly in the months to come.

Pastel Hello
I'm in a spring mood today, so I thought I'd make something super cute. I used Mama Elephant's Pretend Play stamp set and hello die, along with a Blueprint die from My Favorite Things. I'm really digging this comic strip look and I think it works just perfectly for today's card.

Viking Day
I could not resist another viking card, as I really had fun coloring and adding texture. This time around, I paired the viking with a water-colored background. Watercolor is both a most wonderful and a most frustrating medium to work with. I'm learning to embrace it and create some fun effects.

Bring more coffee
It's Monday, and I need more coffee -- something I catch myself saying every Monday. I thought I'd whip up a quick card using a to-go cup stamp and a snarky sentiment strip from Tim Holtz. Both of them were a part of Simon Says Stamp card kits, so I'm glad to be making good use of them. And, of course, to tie everything together, I added some gold sparkle.

I Vike You
I kept the rest of the card very simple, adding a sentiment and a blended background. I used a few distress oxide inks for the blending and a hexagon die to make my mask. It's a pretty simple card, but I really like how it turned out.

Happy Pix
And I'm back in my comfort zone with a sweet little card featuring the adorable Pix the bunny from Mama Elephant. I really like this playful "happy" die and I think it matches perfectly with a candy stripe and stitched scallops. A bit of gold cord and a few enamel dots tie everything together perfectly.

Rose of Thanks
I'm definitely pushing outside my comfort zone again, this time with a chic floral card. I used a layering stamp set from Altenew that intimidates me a little, but I do like the colors I chose for the layers. I think it turned out pretty and I like the color palette on this card.
