I don't really make vintage cards, but there's something about that soft and dainty look that I just can't resist. So, I thought I'd try with this sweet little cup and some pretty patterned paper. I really like the sage green and the bright pop of pink with cream as a palette and plan to use it again. I'm also digging this textured cardstock from Bazzill. It's not heavy enough to use as a base, but it's really fun as a layering piece.

Coffee Love
Good days definitely start with coffee -especially Mondays when it's time to get back to the grind. I'm not a fan of Mondays, but I am always happy to sip my morning cup of coffee.

Birthday Chick
I never seem to run out of a need for birthday cards - and my card stash has been running dangerously low. So, I thought I'd knock out a birthday card and make use of a starry embossing folder. Quick and simple, but a festive little creation.

Watercolor Cup
Since I did 3 seasons already, I wanted to round things off with a summer card - except, I wasn't really feeling the summer/beach mood. So, I did the next best thing and made a watercolor card. It is entirely too messy and my watercoloring needs heck of a lot more practice, but it's a finished card.

Autumn Thanks
I think we're catching another theme here, as we had spring, winter and now we're onto an autumn card. I have no particular reason for making an autumn card, aside from spying a cure paper and some leaf puffy stickers I really wanted to use. Making use of my stash does keep me happy!

Alpaca Fun
This fluffy alpaca from Lawn Fawn has been sitting in my colored images stash since winter, and I really wanted to use him on a card along with the fun sentiment. Yes, it's another winter creation, but the fun palette could work for other seasons too.

Rainy Day
I'm not much of a fan of spring (the pollen makes me miserable every year), but I do like spring scenes on cards. There's something so fun and cheerful about bright colors that never fails to elevate my mood. So, I thought I'd make a fun little rainy scene with Hello Bluebird stamps and some inkblending over a stencil.
I especially enjoyed blending with Stormy Sky distress ink. Even though it's a more de-saturated color, I really love the tone and I'm definitely using it again soon.

Wonky Librarian
In the spirit of jumping out of my comfort zone, here is another little card that has a unique element - handmade drawing/sketch. I've got a wacky-but-wonderful librarian friend who loves to wear funky hats and headbands. She's had a rough couple of weeks, so I wanted to send her a little encouragement note.
I found the funny headband in a stamp set by Mama Elephant, but it didn't have the face/hair that fit my friend's character. So, I drew in my own and embellished using a sticker and some enamel dots.

Simply Succulent
There are a lot of techniques out there I really want to try, but I rarely seem to find the time and the patience to do so. But the only way to grow is to keep pushing boundaries and wiggling out of that familiar comfort zone.
For today's card, I tried a no-line coloring technique using my Copics and some colored pencils for fine detail. I kept the card very clean and simple otherwise and added just a few bubbles for some extra sparkle.

Oh Snap!
I know, I know. We're nowhere near Christmas, but I really wanted to play with some of my winter stamps. Though winter holiday season is still far away, I do occasionally like to test out a few ideas or prototypes throughout the year to (hopefully) make my holiday projects quicker.
So, today's quick share is a simple little card where I play with a layout and some patterned paper.

Hello Chameleon
It's Friday again! Keeping things very simple today with a cute chameleon card and some color splatters. I've been trying to mix and match some clean and simple designs with more elaborate ones. It's fun to change things up now and again.

Adore Layers
For today's card, I thought I'd try something different again. This card has no stamping and no coloring - only die-cuts, some washi and a few enamel dots. It turned out really different, but I will have to play with this concept again in the future.

Loved Hug
I wanted to play with some die shapes today, so I made a little scene with a bird and a bunny from my colored images stash. I also used some alphabet stickers - which I really ought to use more often on cards.

Super News
When I was a kid, my brother and I used to get up early every Saturday morning to watch super hero cartoons. It's one of my fondest memories, so I tried to capture that nostalgic feeling in a slightly-vintage kind of card featuring a newspaper print. I opted for sepia colors and made a subtle citiscape background for the superhero to stand against.
I think it turned out pretty fun and it's going to make a superhero-loving guy happy.

Rainbow Hello
Happy Monday, everyone! I thought I would start this week with a bright and colorful project - something to contrast the blanket of snow that fell just last week.
I've had this idea bouncing around my head for a few days, and I'm really happy with how it turned out. I really like the cheerful sentiments and the matching rainbow pattern stripes.

Brave Viking
I couldn't resist coloring this Viking one more time. I used bright colors and paired him with the awesome dragon paper from my Echo Park. There's something about dragons and adventure that makes by mind brim with ideas - it must be all the fantasy books I've read over the years.

Sunny Day
Today is not a sunny day, so a bright and sunny card is just what the doctor ordered. Once again, I played with some watercolor and the sweet girl from Rainy Day to make an abstract scene.
I used some yellow ink for my sentiment and I think it ties perfectly with the card base and the girl's coat.

Bits & Pieces: Be Mine
A quick share today - just playing with bits and pieces of things on my desk. I did enjoy using velum on this card. It's an embossed velum that has fun silver or gold elements. Combined with a fun patterned paper and an embossed sentiment, I think it turned out pretty fun.

Sweet Friends
Continuing on with a clean-and-simple look, I made this quick card with a bit of ink blending and a fun costume for the two kids.
Some days, a quick and simple card is just about all I can manage - but it's lovely when it comes together in a way that makes me smile.

Colorful Hello
In contrast to yesterday's quiet rainy card, today's creation is bright and colorful. I thought a cute chameleon would fit perfectly with this bright background. I added a white-embossed sentiment and a few sparkly enamel dots to set the scene.
