SK January: Favorite You

Today's card is the first card in the January's Stash Kit project (you can read more about the project here, and see January supplies here).

Whenever I start on the kit cards, I always start by laying out all the supplies and making a quick "warm-up" card. I don't usually keep this card - it's just playful practice to get me more familiar with the supplies I'm using. But this time, I actually rather like how the card turned out.

I kept the card super simple, adding just a couple of dies (tag and a scripty You), along with a couple of stickers and enamel shapes. Not too shabby for a practice card, right?

Thanks for reading!

  1. I love your idea with card kit creating. It helps to look at some supplies we have differently and also opens for us crafters so many possibilities. I love how you incorporate designer paper and tag here. And enamel shapes look great here! You inspired me to use enamel shapes in my cards. Before I didn't even knew about them. And now they are on my list of faves. 😊

    1. Thank you, Elena!
The stash kit project is one of my favorites and I continue to feel inspired by it - which I'm so happy about. I've tried a few other challenges/projects, but they ended up not being the greatest match. I'm so glad to see stash kit project working and inspiring others. :)

I am a BIG fan of enamel shapes. They are my favorite embellishment, by far! And I'm so glad you love them too. I can't wait to see the lovely creative ways you'll use them in. *hugs*

  2. I love the idea of a "warm up" card. I think that definitely takes the pressure off when creating. Makes it easier just to play and see what happens. I totally love this card too. :)

    1. I think it's such a great thing to do, especially if I haven't been crafting for a while. Just knowing it's not a serious card makes it so much easier to try out new techniques or old favorites without feeling like it needs to come out amazing. It's a great feeling. :)
